German Chancellor Angela Merkel visited the Parque de la Memoria memorial site on Wednesday, June 8, participating in a commemoration of the victims of state terrorism. Vera Jarach – the mother of Franca, who was kidnapped and forcibly disappeared in June 1976 at the age of 18 – spoke with Merkel there. After that, organizations that work on human rights in Germany and Argentina presented her with a letter (in Spanish and German).
